Suffolk Police Investigating body found on Railroad Ave as a homicide

The Suffolk Police Department is now investigating the death of 64-year-old Timothy Jerome Everett as a homicide. Everett’s body was found on Sept. 18, 2024, at approximately 4:25 p.m. in the 400 block of Railroad Avenue. Initially, the cause of death was undetermined. However, after further investigation, police have classified the case as a homicide.

The Suffolk Police Department is seeking the public’s help in the investigation. Anyone with information about Everett’s death is urged to contact the police. Tips can be submitted anonymously online at www.p3tips.com, through the Suffolk Police Department website (www.suffolkva.us/spd), or the department’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/suffolkpolicedepartment.

Tips can also be called into 888-LOCK-U-UP (1-888-562-5887), Option 5. Callers submitting tips will receive a TIP ID and password that they can use to submit follow-up information, communicate with investigators, receive updates on the case, and access any reward information.

Police are requesting anyone who had recently contacted Everett to come forward. The investigation is ongoing.
