SPD details Peanut Fest Parade road closures

Suffolk Police Department has announced road closures ahead of the Saturday, Oct. 5 Peanut Fest Parade.

According to their Thursday, Oct. 3 Facebook post, street closures for the parade staging area will begin at 7:30 a.m. with street closures along the parade route beginning at 8:30 a.m. Any vehicles parked along the parade route will be towed if the owner or driver cannot be located.

The parade is set to officially start at 10 a.m. with Suffolk Public Works assisting with road closures, detour signage, and signs prohibiting parking in designated parade route areas. SPD encourages residents to plan ahead for travel while expecting delays in Downtown Suffolk.

Causey Ave. from Gittings St. to W. Washington St.

Bosley Ave. from Smith St. to W. Washington St.

Broad St. from 2nd Ave. to W. Washington St.

Linden Ave. from Smith St. to W. Washington St.

St. James Ave. from Smith St. to W. Washington St.

Wellons St. from Jackson St. to W. Washington St.
