What you will find here is the collected wisdom of many people who cast votes for their favorite shops, restaurants, service providers, parks, entertainment venues and more in the Suffolk News-Herald’s Locals Choice Awards program.

What you’re not holding are the results of a scientific study. These results represent people’s opinions, expressed through online voting late this summer. You’ll probably disagree with some of the results, you will be surprised by some and there are some you’re likely to cheer.

The best way to show your favorite businesses your support, of course, is to continue giving them your business. After that, you can recommend your friends give them a shot, too.
