Powered by two-goal performances by Caydence Parker and Caitlyn Outlaw, the Nansemond River Warrior field hockey squad defeated the Lakeland Cavaliers 7-1 on Wednesday. Brayden Johnston, Anyia Woods and Jordan White each recorded one goal. White added two assists on the night.

The Warriors move to 2-0 on the season after blanking Western Branch 4-0 on Wednesday, Aug. 28. Nansemond River heads to the National Training Center in Virginia Beach for a tournament on Wednesday, Sept. 6.
