The King’s Fork Bulldogs kicked off the 2024 football season with a dominating 38-6 win over the Churchland Truckers Friday night. The Bulldog defense made Trucker’s freshman quarterback Logan Wynne uncomfortable in the pocket early, forcing Churchland to test the Bulldog run defense, which made a statement as one of the area’s top run defenses. That pressure led to an early Wynne fumble recovered by Joshua Pittman. A 15-yard throw and catch from D’Andre Artis-Boone to Karl Arline Jr. set King’s Fork up for its first score on a Javon Ford two-yard power run to paydirt with 8:44 remaining in the second quarter.

Midway through the first half, Artis-Boone connected on a 16-yard touchdown pass to Jahmel Mackey. The two connected again in the fourth quarter as Artis-Boone threaded a needle between two defenders from 28 yards out to go up 21-0.

Late in the fourth, Artis-Boone connected with Arline on a 55-yard catch and set up a 36-yard touchdown run by Preston Hall III to seal the win for King’s Fork.
