Winona Trail fire leaves three displaced

Three Suffolk residents have been displaced after an early Sunday fire on Winona Trail. According to Suffolk Fire and Rescue, crews responded to the 4400 Block of Winona Trail for a residential structure fire at 5:32 a.m.
When crews arrived, they found heavy fire from a two-car garage attached to a large two-story detached residential structure. Heavy fire spread into the room over the garage and entered the attic. The home sustained extensive fire and smoke damage, leaving three adults displaced. The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced. The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating. No firefighters or citizens were injured.
