On Friday, July 12, 2024, at approximately 11 a.m., the Suffolk S.W.A.T. team, with assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), executed a search warrant in the 500 block of Catapult Court.

After approximately 10 minutes, Emil Edwards, 19, of Suffolk, peacefully surrendered to officers and was taken into custody.

Edwards was wanted in connection to an armed robbery charge stemming from a June incident.

No one was injured during the execution of the search warrant.
