The Suffolk Public Works Department has announced an upcoming traffic pattern adjustment for the Route 58 Holland Road Corridor Widening project in a Thursday media release. The traffic shift will affect the section from Grove Avenue to Center Point Drive, redirecting westbound traffic to the newly completed northern side of the road. According to the release, the modification aims to facilitate the construction of the median, marking the project’s final phase. The traffic pattern change is expected to begin by the end of July, weather permitting.
The traffic pattern for the eastern section of the project, from Grove Avenue to the US 13 Bypass, will remain unchanged.
To ensure motorists are well-informed about the changes, message boards will be placed to provide timely notifications.
