The much-loved Suffolk Peanut Festival will return this fall, marking 46 years of honoring the city’s community and roots.

Suffolk Festivals, Inc. announced that the festival is set for Thursday, Oct. 10, through Sunday, Oct. 13, at the Suffolk Executive Airport. Along with a full carnival filled with amusement rides, food, and games, attendees can expect pony rides, a petting zoo, a cornhole tournament, and fireworks, as well as the Suffolk Ruritan Club Shrimp Feast, the World’s Only Peanut Butter Sculpting Competition and much more. The event will also have vendors, crafters and merchants offering wares, concessions and both beer and wine through the event site. The festival will also have live music from singer Easton Corbin, the Florida native boasting two no. 1 singles — “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It” on Saturday, Oct. 12. Additional bands taking the stage will include Vinyl Radio, Luke Willette Band, Island Boy, The Deloreans, and many more.

2024 Festival Chairman Scott Wiggins declared the festival theme “Shell-ebrating Suffolk’s Roots, From our Hearts to Our Boots,” aiming to celebrate the city’s agricultural roots and connection to waterways for both livelihood and leisure and honor the city’s 50th anniversary of the 1974 merger of Nansemond County and Suffolk.
