Police say a man was found injured with what appeared to be a gunshot wound on Pitchkettle Rd. early Wednesday morning.

According to the Suffolk Police Department, at approximately 1:24 a.m., the 9-1-1 center received notification of a shooting incident in the 200 block of Pitchkettle Rd. When officers arrived, they discovered an adult male who had sustained injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. The victim was treated on the scene by Suffolk Fire and Rescue before being transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
