Suffolk announces assistant director of Planning and Community Development

Kevin Wyne, Director of Planning & Community Development, announced that Jennifer Cobb has been selected as the Assistant Director of Planning & Community Development, effective April 8, 2024.
Ms. Cobb has been with the City since 2019 and has served in capacities such as Assistant Zoning Administrator and Enforcement Manager and later as the Zoning Administrator and Enforcement Manager. She has nearly 20 years of local government experience, including zoning, property and building maintenance, and code enforcement.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Old Dominion University. As well, Ms. Cobb has a Property Maintenance Certification through the International Code Council (ICC) and a Transportation Manager Certification and a Zoning Administrator Certification through the Virginia Association of Zoning Officials (VAZO).
