Juel Frances Barnes Carr, 68, of Suffolk, VA passed away on April 26, 2024. She was the daughter of the late, James and Eva Barnes.

Juel was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and enjoyed working in the church nursery.

She is survived by her sons, Williams L. Carr, Jr. (Angie) and David B. Carr (Brooke); grandchildren, William G. Carr, Logan E. Carr, and Aliyah L. Carr; great grandson, Buxton Carr; sister, Anna B. Jones (Mike) and Mary Anne Barnes; nephew, James B. Jones and extended family.

The family would like to thank Best of Care Home Health, especially Tammy Chapman. Her compassion, kindness, and love in taking care of Mom for the past 5 years will forever be appreciated.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 11 AM at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Downtown Suffolk Chapel is serving the family.
