In a battle of VISAA’s top-ranked Division II and Division III teams, the NSA Lady Saints relied on Marin McGowan’s reliable arm to take home the 7-1 win on Monday. McGowan recorded a season-high 13 strikeouts and allowed just one run over seven innings, helping the Lady Saints to a 7-victory over Brunswick Academy on Monday.

Addy Smith and Kayla Kosiorek went 2 to 3 at the plate. Smith added a run and drove in two runs. Overall, the Lady Saints needed just eight hits to claim victory.

The Lady Saints improved to 15-1-1 on the season, and with just two games remaining in the regular season, they looked ready to claim their fifth straight state title. With a few days to rest, the Lady Saints will hit the road on Thursday, May 2, to take on the current Division II No. 2 ranked Isle of Wight Academy. First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
