Early Easter Sunday Marian succumbed to a short illness. Her education began at Florence Bowser Elementary School in Suffolk Va. She then graduated with the class of 1944 from East Suffolk HS before attending Elizabeth City College where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in early childhood education. She taught at Hayden elementary school in Franklin VA before relocating to NY. She retired from the NYC board of education in 1989. Funeral service was Thursday Apr 11 at Victory Baptist Church in the Bronx NY her home church.
