The Nansemond-Suffolk Lady Saints crushed the Nansemond River Lady Warriors 11-0 on Monday. NSA has shutout its last four opponents and has a combined total of 51 runs in those four games.

Ace Marin McGowan continued her hot streak, pitching four innings of one-hit softball while striking out four. Senior Ellie Benes was a perfect 3 for 3 at the plate, scoring twice.

NSA moves to 10-0-1 on the season and will likely hold on to the top spot in VISAA Division II. Nanesemond River also dropped a game Tuesday night to Deep Creek 11-1, falling to 3-5 on the season. The Lady Warriors will travel to take on the 9-0-1 Grassfield Grizzlies on Thursday. NSA hosts the 9-1 Hickory Lady Hawks on Wednesday.
