Two injured in early morning shooting

On April 9, 2024, at approximately 12:01 AM the Suffolk 911 Center received a call for a person shot in the 1000 block of Nansemond Parkway.
The victim, a 39-year-old male was treated on scene by Suffolk Fire and Rescue, then transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
At 12:26 AM, the Suffolk Police were notified by Sentara Obici Hospital of an adult male, age 39, walked into the emergency room with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The preliminary investigation has revealed the incident occurred at the same location for both victims.
The investigation remains ongoing, and there is no further information available for release.
