Plane crashed on landing at Hampton Roads Executive Airport

At approximately 2:24 p.m, Thursday, March 21, state police were called to investigate an airplane crash at the Hampton Roads Executive Airport. The pilot of a Cessna 170A, James M. Biggs, lost control of the aircraft and ran off the airstrip into the grassy area, causing the landing gear and wing to fold/bend as the plane came to rest on its side. Biggs, of Virginia Beach, was not injured.
