At 5:06 pm, SFR and SPD were dispatched to a commercial vehicle fire on Rt. 17 (Bridge Rd), at the foot of the Mills Godwin Bridge. L11 and E9 arrived to find a tractor trailer not on fire, yet the trailer had “racked” in the middle causing the roadway to be shutdown in both directions. No injuries and no hazards associated with the trailer’s contents. Both North and Southbound Bridge Rd. is still closed as of 7:00 pm. Responding units: E9, E5, L11, Battalion 2 and FM 6.
