Vincent Earl Gunn, age 89, of Virginia Beach, passed away on March 2, 2024 at Lake Prince Woods in Suffolk, VA, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Born in Hopewell, VA, the only child of Lester and Julia McLeod Gunn, Vince shared his dad’s love of baseball and football and was named “Most Athletic” of the 1953 graduating class of Norview High School. After graduation he married Barbara Adkins, a friend since childhood, and started the family that would include three children, Cindy, David and John.

As a young salesman in the days before big box stores, Vince thrived at Price’s Appliances, Inc, becoming the top salesman year after year, breaking all company sales records, and building lifelong relationships through his work. He later joined Holston Appliances in Richmond. Vince was a longtime member of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church, a passionate golfer, and a beloved husband and father.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Barbara; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Chris Robinson and their child, Maddox Robinson; son and daughter-in-law, David and BK Gunn and their daughter, Kelsey Gunn; and son and son-in-law, John Gunn and Michael Holloway.

A celebration of Vince’s life will be held at 1PM on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Lake Prince Woods, 100 Anna Goode Way, Suffolk, VA, in the Portsmouth Room followed by light refreshments.
