Road rage incident leads to one person shot, police say

SUFFOLK, Virginia – At 1:34 p.m. on March 9, the Suffolk 911 Center was alerted to gunfire in the 5600 block of Shoulders Hill Road. As officers headed to the scene, another call came in from Sentara BelleHarbour Hospital reporting an adult male, 29, who had self-transported there with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Initial inquiries revealed a preceding traffic altercation. The suspect vehicle was reported for erratic driving on Bridge Road’s 3900 block.
While no suspect details are currently known, the vehicle involved was identified as a white SUV. Three shell casings were recovered from the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, with no further updates available for release at this time.
