SUFFOLK, Virginia — TowneBank announced it has appointed Sachin Shetty, Ph.D., to its Board of Directors.
Dr. Shetty serves as an Executive Director for the Center for Secure and Intelligent Critical Systems and as a Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Old Dominion University(ODU). In his role, he leads a research team focused on developing and integrating secure and intelligent technologies to ensure safe, reliable, and resilient critical infrastructure. Dr. Shetty’s research interests encompass computer networking, network security, and machine learning, with over 300 research articles published. He obtained his Ph.D. in Modeling and Simulation from ODU, a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Toledo, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Mumbai University. Dr. Shetty resides in Chesapeake with his family.
As stated by William I. “Billy” Foster III, TowneBank’s president and chief executive officer, TowneBank expresses its honor in welcoming Dr. Shetty to its Corporate Board of Directors.
