Sounds of the Joint Service coming to Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts

Suffolk Va. –The Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts announced it will host “Sounds of the Joint Service” for a free Concert on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 7 PM. This masterwork performance features a collaborative band comprising 55 Service Members from the TRADOC Band, in conjunction with the U.S. Navy Fleet Forces Band and the U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Band.
The performance will showcase masterworks from renowned classical composers, including Leonard Bernstein’s Overture to “Candide,” Percy Grainger’s “Lincolnshire Posy,” and Ottorino Respighi’s “Pines of Rome.” Additionally, compositions such as “One Life Beautiful” by Emmy Award-winning composer Julie Giroux and Danzón No. 2 by Arturo Márquez will be highlighted.
“Sounds of the Joint Service” is free and open to the public, welcoming families. Tickets must be reserved in advance, with only the first 500 patrons able to attend. The Birdsong Theater doors will open at 6:30 PM, with the performance starting at 7 PM, lasting one hour and thirty minutes, plus intermission.
