Joseph F. Silberholz, 87, of Suffolk, VA passed away at home on Feb. 27, 2024. He was the son of the late, Joseph and Elizabeth Silberholz. He was a loving husband and father.

Joseph was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic church, Ruritan club, and NARFE. He is retired from the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard with over 30 years of service and received the Meritorious Civilian Service award. Joseph served in the U.S. Army, receiving many awards. He also very active participant of the Suffolk Peanut Festival.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruth A. Silberholz; sister, Eileen Stortz and her family; his children and grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 10 AM at St. Mary of the Presentation Catholic Church, 202 S. Broad St., Suffolk, VA 23434. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary of the Presentation Catholic Church, Parrish Hall Renovation Fund. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Downtown Suffolk Chapel is serving the family.
