The Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts hosts its annual fundraiser themed “Imagine…the Future of the Center” on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 6 PM. The event features a new format – a progressive ‘Station to Station’ adventure. Attendees embark on a delightful culinary journey crafted by local Suffolk Restaurants, mingling with fellow art enthusiasts and talented Local Artists. Each guest receives a special IMAGINE bracelet that flashes every 20 minutes, signaling the time to change rooms and enjoy the next restaurant and artistic expression.
Attendees can expect a vibrant experience celebrating the arts and highlighting the 100-year-old building while supporting the Suffolk Center.
Guests explore captivating art exhibitions throughout the Center’s Birdsong Theater, Historic Classrooms, Art Galleries, and Taylor Ballroom.
Local artists will showcase the wide variety of arts classes offered at the Center, including:
Ishta Hurato, Sculpture, Rami McKenney, Basket Weaving, Beth Blanchard, Painting,Alicia Edwards, Dance, Michael Creech, Guitar, Lisa Morrison, Pottery, Cynthia Quesenberry, Jewelry Making, Rhona Dawson, Stained Glass, Larry McMasters, Photography, Darsey Whitlow, Watercolors.
The highlight of the evening includes dancing to the sounds of LittKeys and an exciting LIVE Auction featuring unique experiences such as bourbon tasting, a private wine chalet, one-of-a-kind artwork, an ODU Football Fan package, and more.
Attendees are encouraged to embrace creative cocktail attire with a twist of artistry, promising a fun, creative, and colorful event. “Imagine…the Future of the Center” promises to be a memorable night of inspiration, creativity, and philanthropy, supporting the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts’ education and community outreach initiatives.
