King’s Fork powers past Nansemond River

Despite a third quarter rally that saw the Nansemond River Warriors pull within five points, the King’s Fork Bulldogs completed the season sweep of the Warriors with a 65-47 victory Friday.
Three Bulldogs scored in double digits, led by Adarius Boston’s 18 points. Zion McGlone added 11 points and Zekhi Darden dropped in 10 points.
For the Warriors, Aaron Atwater came off the bench to led the team with 17 points, with 15 of those coming from the three point line. Atwater went 5 for 6 from beyond the arc to help close the gap in the third quarter.
King’s Fork improves to 16-4, while Nansemond River falls to 14-7.
The Bulldogs take the floor again Saturday to face Petersburg at The Fork. Nansemond will host Grassfield on Tuesday for their final game of the 2024 regular season;
