‘Twas a month before Christmas all through the city,
Suffolkians were walking around joyfully and giddy,
For they knew the joy and the reason
For the happiness of the holiday season.
Their Public Safety agents, too, were prepping for the holidays,
With warmth and gladness contained in their gaze.
For the holiday season they want nothing but cheer and safety,
And so remind their citizens to not be hasty:
Remember to lock your car doors and house,
For we’re not concern about the entry of a mouse.
Secure those packages from porch pirates who are wanton and greedy,
And watch out for your neighbors, kids, the elderly and needy
Hide your valuables out of sight,
Before you turn in for the night.
Turn off the stove and unplug the tree,
For house fires we do not wish to see
When disagreements arise don’t become jerky,
For the only thing that should be injured is that ham or turkey.
Driving under the influence of anything is a no-no,
Or to jail for the holidays you will definitely go-go.
We are here to serve you wherever threats lurk,
But we’d prefer not to see you at our work.
Wishing you safe and Happy Holidays from the
