Lane Closures

Dec. 1-8

Motorists should be advised of the following scheduled lane and detour impacts scheduled for this weekend as crews facilitate daytime paving and other construction activities.

Scheduled closures are subject to change based on weather conditions and other factors. Concurrent operations will be coordinated to avoid ramp closures along the proposed detour routes. Motorists should follow detour signage along the route.

Daytime single lane closure on I-64 east on the following dates:

  • High Rise Bridge to the Shell Road overpass (approximate mile marker 295) Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Daytime closure and detour of the off-ramp from I-64 west to Battlefield Boulevard south (exit 290B) and the collector-distributor (CD) lane Dec. 2 from 1 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Dec. 3 and Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 

Motorists should follow the following detour:

  • Continue on I-64 west
  • Take Greenbrier Parkway (exit 289B)
  • Follow the cloverleaf to I-64 east
  • Use exit 290B to access Battlefield Boulevard south

Daytime closure and detour of the ramp from I-464 south to I-64 west (exit 1A) Dec. 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 

Motorists should follow the detour below:

  • Continue on I-464 south and onto Route 168 south
  • Take the Route 168/Battlefield Boulevard loops to Route 168 north
  • Take exit 15A to I-64 west

Overnight single and multi-lane closures on I-64 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. at the following locations:

  • Multiple lane closure I-64 east between Battlefield Boulevard (Exit 290) and the I-464 interchange (Exit 291) Dec. 1-7
  • Single lane closure on I-64 east between Battlefield Boulevard (exit 290) and the High Rise Bridge Dec.1-2
  • Single lane closure I-64 east and west between Bowers Hill (exit 299) and Shell Road (approximate mile marker 295) Dec. 3-8

Overnight closure and detour of the on-ramp to I-64 east from Military Highway Dec. 4 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists should follow the posted detour.

Overnight closure and detour of the I-64 east off-ramp to I-464 north (exit 291A) Dec. 4 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists should continue on I-64 east and follow the detour at Exit 296B.

Overnight closure and detour of the on-ramp from George Washington Highway south to I-64 west Dec. 5 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists should follow the posted detour 

Overnight closure and detour of the ramp from I-64 east to I-464 south (exit 291B) Dec. 6-7 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists should follow the following detour 

  • Take exit 291A to I-464 north
  • Take exit 2 to Military Highway
  • Turn left on Military Highway
  • Take the on-ramp to I-464 south

Overnight closure and detour of the I-464 south ramp to I-64 east (exit 1B) Dec. 6-7 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists should follow the signed detour in place using the I-464 cloverleaf to I-64 east.

Overnight closure and detour of the I-464 north off-ramp to I-64 east (exit 1B) Dec. 6-7 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
