Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

On Nov. 11, 2023, Kelly Gwen Blankenship was suddenly called to her eternal home, where she is rejoining with our Lord and Savior.  Kelly was born in Norfolk to Willis and Anna Blankenship on Nov. 9, 1960.  She is predeceased by her aunt, Virginia Grieco; uncle, Nick Grieco and niece, Amanda Davis Nowlin. She is survived by her parents, Willis and Anna Blankenship; brothers, Gary Blankenship (Rebecca) and David Blankenship (Heidi); sisters, Sherrie Davis and Nancy Allison and many nieces and nephews.

Kelly grew up in Virginia Beach and graduated Class of 1979. She went to work over 35 years in the data processing industry with Fiserv and ended her career at SwitchThink Solutions as an integration Analyst.

Kelly was a longtime member of Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church. She served both the church and the community of Windsor with dedication and devotion. Those who knew Kelly will remember her for her kindness, wit and love of God, family, friends and work. She was always ready to lend a helping hand and care for others. She was meticulous and thoughtful in all things. Her absence will be missed by the many people’s lives she touched and her beloved fur babies. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church Missions Fund and Academy Animal Care, earmarked with Kelly’s name in the memo line.

A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, at Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ruffin Alphin officiating. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service from 3 to 4 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Norfolk. Condolences may be registered online at parrfuneralhome.com.
