Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire & Rescue are on the scene of a report of a bomb threat at Colonel Fred Cherry Middle School, located in the 7400 block of Burbage Drive, today, Wednesday, November 1, 2023. Suffolk Emergency Communications was notified of the incident by a school administrator at 10:08 a.m.

The school was evacuated, and a sweep of the school was conducted by Suffolk Police and the Suffolk Fire Marshal’s Office. No injuries were reported.

No threat was found and the building received the all-clear at 11:15 a.m., at which time students and staff were allowed re-entry into the building.

The incident remains under investigation and there is no further information available at this time.
