JESUP, Georgia – Jimmie Reynolds, 82, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023 under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. The Battery Park, native was a graduate of Smithfield High School and the Newport News Shipbuilding Apprentice School and retired from Newport News Industrial as a Project Superintendent. He loved to play golf, fish and was an avid Georgia Bulldog football fan. He was predeceased by his parents, James Harold and Malinda Bloxom Reynolds.

Survivors are his wife of 32 years, Sara Hurst Reynolds of Jesup; a daughter, Catherine Reynolds Hurd of Connecticut; two sisters, Linda (Ray) Reynolds Thornton of Mechanicsville, Virginia and Brenda Reynolds of Battery Park; brother, Robert Reynolds of Battery Park and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023 at Altamaha Baptist Church, with interment in the church cemetery.
