The NSA Saints cruised to a 55-7 victory Friday against the Portsmouth Christian Patriots.
The Saints quarterback Napoleon Ellison went 10-17, 198 yards with five touchdown tosses. On the ground, the Saints were equally as dominant, racking up 151 yards on 24 carries and finding the endzone twice.
On the defensive side, Noah Delk led the team with 14 tackles, 3 Tackles for loss (TFL), and 1 sack.
Head Coach Mike Biehl was proud of how his team rebounded after a tough few weeks going winless.
“I’m extremely proud of my guys for their ability to continue to go to work and get better even when the results aren’t what we want,” Biehl said. “These last three weeks, we’ve had great competition and haven’t been able to put a full game together so getting it done tonight was great for our team as a whole.”
The Saints look to carry the momentum into its idle week before traveling to take on Atlantic Shores Christian School on Sept. 29.
