Suffolk Police arrest two in connection with Freeney Ave shooting

Suffolk Police arrested two individuals in connection to the homicide of Jaylon Carroll, which occurred on Aug. 31, 2023. According to a news release, Suffolk Police arrested Darian Orlando Miles, 48, of Suffolk, and Raishod Williams, 20, of Windsor.
Miles has been charged with second degree murder, malicious wounding, use of a Firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Williams has been charged with second degree murder, malicious wounding, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
“Through the course of the investigation, Suffolk Police have also identified a second adult male victim who suffered minor injuries from a gunshot wound during the incident on Freeney Avenue,” the release said. “The victim did not seek medical treatment and had fled the scene prior to police arriving.”
The investigation remains ongoing, and no further information is available for release.
