Cape Henry claims girls tennis win against NSA

Cape Henry varsity girls tennis team, last year’s state champs, defeated Nansemond Suffolk Academy 7-2 at Cape Henry Tuesday, Aug. 29.
In singles matches, NSA girls claimed two of their two wins.
No. 1 singles saw NSA’s Kayla Kosiorek beat a tough opponent Lauren Yue of Cape Henry in an exciting match. 6-3. 6-4.
Emma Morgan (NSA) was up 5-1 in No. 2 singles the set against Mary Turner Schipp of Cape Henry when opponent retired injured.
The other matches saw:
No. 3 Singles: Katie Tserediani (CH) defeat Izzy Rose (NSA), 6-1, 6-0
No. 4 Singles: Tamera Tserediani (CH) defeat Aubrey Council (NSA), 6-2, 6-1
No. 5 Singles: Cora Timms (CH) defeat Paige Dowd (NSA), 6-2, 6-1
No. 6 Singles: Bentley Compton (CH) defeat Emma Graves (NSA), 6-2, 6-0
Cape Henry claimed all the matches in doubles play:
No. 1 Doubles: Yue/Schipp (CH) defeat Kosoriek/Morgan in a tough match, 8-6
No. 2 Doubles: Compton/K. Tserediani (CH) defeat Rose/Council, 8-3
No. 3 Doubles: Timms/Pridge (CH) defeat Dowd/Graves, 8-3.
