22-year-old man found dead in downtown after being struck by train

A Suffolk man was found dead on Norfolk Southern tracks in downtown after being struck by a train.
Clyde Herbert Hill III, 22, of Suffolk was found in an area between North 9th and 10th streets. In a Friday afternoon news release, police said the family has been notified and no foul play is suspected.
Norfolk Southern Railroad Dispatch contacted the Suffolk 911 Center at about 12:11 p.m. Thursday July 13, in reference to a possible person on the railroad tracks.
The Norfolk Southern Track Supervisor advised he was operating in the area on when he observed a backpack and a body in between the tracks, according to the release. When units arrived, they observed an obviously deceased male that was struck by a train.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time. Police said there is no further information available for release.
