An early Sunday morning altercation between two men resulted in a Suffolk woman injured with a stab wound to the leg.
Suffolk Emergency Communications received a call regarding a stabbing in the 100 block of West Washington Street at 12:13 a.m. Sunday, July 9, according to information provided by the police department.
Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire and Rescue arrived on the scene and discovered an adult female with a non-life threatening, single stab wound to the leg that required medical assistance.
Throughout the course of the investigation, SPD determined that, after a verbal altercation between two adult males, the third party adult female was stabbed.
All parties are known to each other and are uncooperative in this matter, police said Tuesday. There are no charges pending at this time and SPD believes there is no threat to the community.
