Report of weapon, drugs at KFMS, followed by bomb threat, leads to school’s evacuation

A possible threat of a weapon and drugs on campus at King’s Fork Middle School followed by a bomb threat that led to its evacuation Monday morning.
In a news release from Suffolk Public Schools, officials said when the information was received they immediately placed the school under lockdown. Authorities arrived to check on the credibility of the information. During the Monday, July 10 investigation, the release said the school received a bomb threat. The school was evacuated and Suffolk Fire and Rescue arrived on the scene.
There are no reported injuries to students or staff at this time, the release noted. These incidents are still under investigation.
King’s Fork Middle School is the school summer school site for Suffolk Public Schools.
