Mike Dillender looks to be in good position to win the 2023 Republican Primary in connection with the Virginia House of Delegates District 84 seat.

With 21 of 22 precincts reporting in the city of Suffolk, he holds 69.84% of the vote, leading Rod Thompson 2,714 votes to 1,172.

With seven of eight precincts reporting in Isle of Wight County, Dillender holds 57.79% of the vote, leading 527-385.

Only two of seven precincts from the city of Franklin were reporting as of 8:49 p.m., but Dillender led Thompson 176-87, receiving 66.92% of the vote.

The two precincts from the city of Chesapeake have yet to report votes.
