Magnolia Methodist Church holds its annual Easter party and egg hunt 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 1.
As part of the event, lunch is provided along with activities and a bounce house. The Easter party and egg hunt is for children ages 3 to 12. Parents are encouraged to bring an easter basket or a bag for the egg hunt.
“There’s going to be a lot of activities,” said administrative council chairperson and evangelism team coordinator Judi Delpiero. “We’ll serve lunch, we’re going to tell the story of Easter, the Easter egg hunt, and just a lot of games and activities for the kids.”
Delpiero also said there are three additional Easter events set for MMC throughout April, including the Maundy Thursday communion service, a sunrise service on Resurrection Sunday, and an Easter cantata.
The Maundy Thursday communion service is from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, April 6.
MMC’s Sunrise Service is at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, April 9 at the MMC Prayer Garden.
Those attending are asked to bring flowers to lay at the foot of the cross in the prayer garden. A sunrise breakfast follows the service, along with Sunday school for ages 9 to 15 and worship service afterwards.
On April 16, MMC hosts a special Easter Cantata titled “Simply Easter” during its 10:30 a.m. worship service.
Lastly, MMC also is preparing for the Magnolia spring vendor event from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20. Activities are set for indoors, while three food trucks provide tasty favorites outdoors. There will be a $25 participation fee for vendors.
