Oak Street man injured in shooting Saturday night

A Suffolk man sustained non-life threatening injuries in a shooting incident Saturday night.
Suffolk 911 Center received calls for service for shots being fired in the area of Whitemarsh Road at about 10:15 p.m. Saturday, March 18. A call was received at 10:16 p.m. for an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound in the 200 block of Oak Street.
The victim, a 41-year-old male was treated on scene by Suffolk Fire and Rescue, then transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
There is no suspect information available at this time, police said in a news release.
The investigation remains ongoing. Officials said there is no further information available for release.
