David Lynn Hall, 65, of Suffolk, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 25, 2023. 

David was born on May 9, 1957, in Portsmouth, to Clarence and Virginia Hall. David was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Virginia Bordeaux (Atlas) of Deland, Fla.; his brother, Wayne Hall of Portsmouth; his paternal grandparents, Ira and Mabel Hall of Drakes Branch, and his stepson, Jeremy Ford of Cape Coral, Fla. 

David was employed at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Norfolk, for 41 years. He was a welding instructor to many students by whom he was admired and respected. 

Left to cherish David’s memory is his wife, Catherine, with whom he shared his life for 27 years; his stepson, Chris Ford; his brother-in-law, Atlas Bordeaux; two nephews, Bobby and Brian Bordeaux, multiple cousins, two aunts and many beloved friends.
