One critically injured in Bosley Avenue fire Saturday night

One person sustained injuries in a residential fire Saturday night at a house located in the 100 block of Bosley Avenue.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue to the building fire after Emergency Communications was contacted at 10:56 pm. Feb. 18. The first unit arrived on scene at 11:01 p.m.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found heavy smoke showing from a large two-story residential structure, according to a news release.
Fire crews performed an aggressive interior attack to find fire in the main living area of the structure.
Two occupants had evacuated prior to the arrival of fire units. One of the occupants was transported to the hospital with critical injuries, fire and rescue officials said. Additionally, firefighters rescued one pet on the second floor.
The residence sustained heavy fire damage on the first floor and significant smoke and heat damage to the second floor. The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the incident.
A total of 17 Fire and Rescue units responded along with two from the Fire Marshal’s office.
