A Suffolk man is facing 18 felony charges in connection with a string of armed robberies in the city that date back to November 2022.

Suffolk Police said they have arrested Karyon Saunders, 22, of Suffolk, after a Feb. 9 multi-jurisdictional collaborative meeting where leads were developed and a suspect vehicle was identified, according to a news release.

As investigators were preparing for the execution of several search warrants, another commercial armed robbery took place in the City of Chesapeake, Suffolk police stated. A description of the offender’s vehicle was given which matched the previously discovered suspect vehicle.
