Author and Suffolk native Brian Steel Wills returned to his hometown Saturday, Dec. 17 to celebrate the release of his latest book, “Running the Race: The ‘Public Face’ of Charlton Heston.”
Wills, an award-winning author of numerous publications on the American Civil War and history professor at Kennesaw University in Kennesaw, Georgia, spoke to a gathering of local readers during a book presentation and signing at the Constantia House.
Those attending heard his discussion of the life of the late Academy Award winning actor, famed for his roles in “The Ten Commandments” and “Ben-Hur.”
“It is always great to come home again and let people know what you have been doing with your career and interests,” Wills said, reflecting on the event. “I spent many years going to the movies in Suffolk.”
“Running the Race: The ‘Public Face’ of Charlton Heston” is available now via Savas Beatie Publishing. To purchase a copy, go to Amazon.com or Barnes & Noble.com.
