Convenience store robbed at gunpoint early Monday

The Suffolk Police Department is investigating a 2:03 a.m. armed robbery reported Monday morning at the 7-Eleven in the 800 block of Carolina Road.
The suspect entered the store wearing a medical mask, sunglasses, a dark blue hoodie with the hood on and gloves, according to an SPD news release.
Police said the offender produced a handgun and demanded money. The suspect obtained an unknown amount of money and lottery tickets then fled the scene on foot. There were no injuries.
