Two men wounded, multiple cars damaged in shooting at North Suffolk convenience store

Two men were shot and multiple vehicles were damaged as gunfire broke out Friday night at the 7-Eleven in the 6400 block of Hampton Roads Parkway.

In a news release, Suffolk police said that “gunfire erupted between two groups” around 10:38 p.m.

Both wounded men fled the scene on foot to the College Square neighborhood, where they were located at a residence in the 6100 block of Brookwood Drive. They were treated at the scene by Suffolk Fire and Rescue, then transported to a local hospital.

Ladonta Myrick, 31, of Suffolk, remained hospitalized in stable condition as of Sunday. Herschel Watkins, 26, of Portsmouth, was treated and released.

The gunman or gunmen fled the scene northbound in a dark-colored sedan.
