City sets annual fireworks show

The Stars and Stripes Spectacular will light up the skies of Suffolk on Monday, July 4, as the city’s annual fireworks show returns to Constant’s Wharf Park and Marina.
The park will open at 5:30 p.m. with entertainment, bounce houses, merchandise vendors and food choices. There will be free craft bags with crafts for children to complete on the lawn.
The Fuzz Band will take the stage at 6 p.m. with a repertoire of songs in a variety of styles. The fireworks will begin at 9.
There is no on-site parking for this event. Shuttle parking will begin at 5:15 p.m. from the following sites:
- First Baptist Church, 237 N. Main St.
- Suffolk City Hall, 442 W. Washington St.
- Godwin Courthouse Building, 150 N. Main St.
