Man shot to death in Pleasant Hill area

Suffolk police are investigating a “domestically related” fatal shooting Monday afternoon in the Pleasant Hill neighborhood.
Dispatchers were notified of a shooting at 4:11 p.m. in the 400 block of Hunter Street, located off County Street south of downtown.
An adult male victim was pronounced deceased inside a residence, according to a press release.
A person of interest was taken into custody at the scene. The Suffolk Police Department was expected to be on scene for several hours investigating.
Police did not identity the victim.
