Police arrest ‘person of interest’ in East Washington Street shooting on unrelated felony charge

Suffolk police on Thursday arrested a man who is a “person of interest” in the investigation of a May 20 shooting on East Washington Street.
Treyzhan Outlaw, 22, of Suffolk, was arrested on an unrelated felony warrant for carrying a concealed weapon-subsequent offense.
After the shooting, which took place at 12:49 a.m. in the 600 block of East Washington Street, police issued warrants for Outlaw and Dontral Steward, 21, who are both considered persons of interest in connection with the shooting. Police are still attempting to locate Steward.
The shooting injured a 29-year-old man who was treated on the scene by Suffolk Fire and Rescue, then transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
