Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s baseball season came to a close with a 6-5 loss to Isle of Wight Academy on Tuesday in the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division II playoffs.

The sixth-seeded Chargers advanced to Friday’s semifinals against second-seeded Greenbrier Christian, which beat North Cross in the quarterfinals.

NSA had been seeded third.
