Regional think tank elects officers

The Future of Hampton Roads Inc., a regional nonprofit think tank founded in 1982, recently elected officers for 2022.
Raymond K. White, a member of the organization since 2004, was named chair. The Virginia Beach resident has worked in economic development for local and regional governmental entities for the past 27 years.
Chesapeake resident Peter M. Shaw, professor of business administration at Tidewater Community College, was tapped as vice chair.
Virginia Beach resident Mason D. Adams, principal broker and member manager of Storage Capital Advisors and Storage Capital Development, was elected as treasurer.
Virginia Beach resident Herman “Ward” Valentine Jr., business development/capture manager of Flatwater Group Inc., serves as secretary of the organization.
Future of Hampton Roads Inc. “advocates for bold initiatives that transform the region” and “strive to assist in developing a globally attractive region with a compelling future that capitalizes on its assets to seize innovative opportunities.”
